The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G.B. Noonan replaced P.K. Donovan on Gangster Walk, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan (Race 1)(injured).

194B CT Electrical M'dn H'dle

A.P. Kelly, rider of Daring Move, trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got hampered at the start and ran out at the second hurdle. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the running out of Daring Move and in the circumstances were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Ben Purple, concerning the conduct of his charge who misbehaved at the start after the flag was dropped, kicked out and caused interference to other runners before jumping the first hurdle and pulling up. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he was extremely disappointed with the behaviour of his charge today, who is well mannered at home. He further stated that the sun and high temperatures may have been the cause. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards suspended Ben Purple from running for 60 days in accordance with Rule 14(iii) as it was the animals third behavioural offence.

J. Coen, rider of Kazbek, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got hampered at the start.

194C Racing TV Irish EBF (Mares) H'cap H'dle

Paul Traynor, trainer of Fiver Friday, reported to the Clerk of Scales that following endoscopic examination his charge was found to have mucus on her lungs post race.

194D Foleys Bar & Off Licence H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shudawudacuddagh, trained by James Andrew Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be have lost a right hind shoe in running and to have a delayed recovery.

H.E. Sexton, rider of Smallcraftwarning, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference before the home bend.

G. Brouder, rider of Bossing It, trained by David M.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident before the home bend involving Shudawudacuddagh, ridden by K.C. Sexton, unplaced, Bossing It, ridden by G. Brouder, placed sixth and Smallcraftwarning, ridden by H.E. Sexton, placed fourth where it appeared interference took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.C. Sexton stated that he received pressure from the outside which caused his mount to overreact. G. Brouder stated that his mount lugged in coming around the bend but that he had made every effort to straighten and correct his mare. H.E. Sexton stated that he felt pressure from the outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found G. Brouder, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

194E Kilcawley Construction H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident before the home bend involving Garadice, ridden by B.W. Harvey, unplaced, Mother Ship, ridden by P. Hanlon, placed third and Cornmarket, ridden by A.M. King, placed first, where it appeared Mother Ship ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.W. Harvey stated that he maintained his line and suffered no interference. P. Hanlon stated that he felt pressure from Cornmarket and had to take a check. A.M. King stated that he maintained his racing line and that he thought he was clear. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found A.M. King in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

P. Hanlon, rider of Mother Ship, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check before jumping the second last.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Wendell's Lass (GB), trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

K. Callaghan, rider of Whatyouwant, trained by Gerard Kyne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

P.M. O'Brien, rider of Annalough, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

194G Clayton Hotel (Mares) INH Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that following the withdrawal of Not Leaving Yet from race seven on veterinary advice, trainer Robert Murphy had verbally abused her and later reported that the trainer had returned and apologised for his actions, which she had accepted. The raceday Stewards interviewed Robert Murphy who accepted the report. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards found Robert Murphy to be in breach of Rule 272 (iii) and considering his clean record in this regard and in light of his apology, they cautioned him on this occasion.

Prior to the running of race four, the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Course changed the official going to good, good to firm in places.
