The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving No Alibi (USA), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first , Eyema Candy Girl (AUS), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed fourth, and Linger For Longer, ridden by D.S. O'Sullivan, placed sixth, where it appeared No Alibi drifted across Eyema Candy Girl and Linger For Longer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approximately one furlong from home where it appeared K.G. Kennedy, rider of Usuario Amigo had to sit momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
192B EI Electronics H'capR. Coakley, rider of Miqdaad, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his stirrup leather broke.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Theriverrunsdeep, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, and Miqdaad, ridden by R. Coakley, placed second, where it appeared J.A. Heffernan had to sit momentarily as Miqdaad passed him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Zaragoza, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he felt contact from behind before the turn in. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that this was as a result of R. Coakley's stirrup leather breaking and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
192D Follow Limerick On Instagram H'capThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from Terence O'Brien, trainer of Voice Of Northeast, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Veterinary Officer in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Jasmine Affanalis, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed fifth, and Shahada Ace (GB), ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, where it appeared L.T. McAteer had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. L.T. McAteer stated that he was in the gap and got tightened up down the rail. A.J. Slattery stated that he felt the movement from Galaxy Wonder may have caused his mount to drift further towards the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found A.J. Slattery was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.
L.T. McAteer, rider of Jasmine Affanalis, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered a furlong down.
192E Limerick Median Auction (Fillies) M'dnThe Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances whereby Candidly and Fitzroy Gardens, both trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, entered the parade ring with the incorrect saddles and therefore had to be resaddled. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that it was down to human error and apologised. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Donnacha Aidan O'Brien was in breach of Rule 148(i) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they fined him five hundred euro.
192F Panoramic Restaurant Apprentice H'capS.A. Wallace, rider of Moonis, trained by J. Morrison, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
Jessica O'Gorman, rider of Wayside Lady, trained by Patrick Joseph Hayes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount ran very keen and stopped quickly.
192G Private Suites Limerick Racecourse H'capD.P. McDonogh, rider of Desmond Castle, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by the fallers and had not much room in the straight.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Desmond Castle, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, and trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Evidence was heard from the rider and the Authorised Representative for the trainer concerned. D.P. McDonogh stated that his mount is not straight forward and wore first time cheekpieces today. He added that his instructions were to get cover and come with a late run. He further added that during the race his mount was hampered by the fallers and also interfered with in the straight. Tina Evans, Authorised Representative for Joseph Patrick O'Brien confirmed the instructions given and expressed her satisfaction with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Desmond Castle had a slight wound to its right hind but was otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given and took no further action.
The Raceday Stewards enquired from Nicola Burns rider of Woodshaw Whisper, who fell on the flat in this race, and W.J. Lee rider of Heishybrid, who appeared to be brought down in the same incident. Nicola Burns reported that her mount was running very keen and sustained an injury and fell independently of any other horse. W.J. Lee confirmed that his mount was hampered by the faller which brought his mount down. Having considered the reports and viewed a recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
