013A Race Displays Rated Novice H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr T. Costello, rider of Asian Master, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulations and apologised for his actions which he attributed to his own inexperience. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(c)(unnecessary use of whip) and Reg.10.3.(h)(arm above shoulder) and having taken his record into consideration suspended him for four race days.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.G. Gilligan, rider of Just Three, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he felt his mount was closing. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(c)(unnecessary use) and having taken his record into consideration they suspended him for two race days.

013B QuinnBet M'dn Hdle

Sarah Kavanagh, rider of Monsant, trained by C.A.Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung left throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fenway Park, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame left fore post race.

013C Navan H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Catch The Beast, trained by Edward Cawley, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

013D Ardmulchan H'cap H'dle

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, M.P. O'Connor, rider of Lucky Two, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount is an average jumper and stayed on one-paced in the straight.

013E Jack Kiernans 55 Years Beginners S'chase

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Landrake (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last and pulled up.

013F Gormanlough H'cap S'chase

Mr D. McGill, rider of Eagle Terrace (GB), trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eagle Terrace (GB), trained by Noel C. Kelly, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr D. McGill, rider of Eagle Terrace (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the back straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was never on the bridle, he used the whip twice in the back straight hoping he'd come back on the bridle but his mount found nothing and he pulled up. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found him in breach of Reg.10.3.(b)(unnecessary use) and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.

013G Racing Again Feb 11 (P-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving C'est Ta Chance (FR), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, and William Munny, ridden by Mr F. Maguire, where it appeared they came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
