The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Chris Timmons, trainer of Hurricane Helen (GB) (off feed) - €200
C.W.J. Farrell, trainer of Idomything (Going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Y Geerdharry replaced R.M Mulligan on Pandion Power, trained by J.P. Murtagh (Race 3)(stood down)
W Joyce replaced R.M Mulligan on Picpoul, trained by M.M. Rice (Race 6)(stood down)

124B Irish EBF Median Auction M'dn

J.S. Dalton, rider of Lauderdale King, trained by John M.Burke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Dahoma, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, Immortal Jock, ridden by B.M. Coen, and Self Charging, ridden by R. Coakley, where it appeared B.M. Coen had to sit for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.A. Heffernan, rider of Givehertilxmas, trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Stewards Secretary that his saddle slipped in the closing stages.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dahoma, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Brains, trained by R.Donohoe, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving My Vonnie, ridden by Neve Bennett, Pascalia, ridden by M.W Hassett, and Amavasya, ridden by J. Cleary, where it appeared J. Cleary had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. Cleary stated that he felt pressure from his inside which forced him to sit for a few strides. Neve Bennet stated that she slightly hung right off the home bend. M.W. Hassett stated that he maintained his racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Neve Bennet was in breach of Rule 214 and having considered her clean record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended her for two racedays.

124D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed L.F. Roche, rider, in relation to his riding close to the line where it appeared he may have stopped riding and lost sixth place. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that it was a misjudgement on his behalf. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that L.F. Roche was in breach of Rule 212 A (iv) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for four racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee.

B.M. Coen, rider of Secret World, trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood in the starting stalls and threw his head up, as he was very slowly away he pulled up as a result. Having viewed a recording of the incident, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after leaving the stalls where it appeared, Yes Oui Si stumbled and unseated S. Foley. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

S. Foley, rider of Yes Oui Si, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards Secretary that his mount stumbled independently of any other horse.

124F Bulmers Live at Leopardstown H'cap

R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Gallo Dell Cielo, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount half reared in the stalls.

S. Foley, rider of Chopsticks, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check in the straight. Having reviewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

R.C. Colgan, rider of Patrick Joseph (GB), trained by D.Broad, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and was pulled up in the home straight.

J.S. Dalton, rider of Zentopia, trained by S.M.Duffy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Porsche Lad, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Patrick Joseph (GB), trained by D.Broad, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.S. Dalton, rider of Zentopia, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount is one paced and therefore used his whip to the line. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied J.S. Dalton was in breach of R10.3 (b) (unnessary use of the whip) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays

124G Leopardstown Lady Riders H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference a furlong and a half from the finish involving Reaching High, ridden by Miss J. Townend, placed second and Not Just Any Eagle, ridden by R. Donaghue-Leahy, placed first, where it appeared Not just Any Eagle drifted slightly right. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Ms J. Townend stated that she suffered interference and had to re organise her mount for a couple of strides. R. Donaghue-Leahy stated that she rolled out slighty and felt she was clear of the other horse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action. .

Alexandra Egan, rider of O'Reilly (FR), trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung slightly right.

R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Not Just Any Eagle, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that she used the whip in the fore hand position for corrective purposes.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Gabriella Hill, rider of Walhaan, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the whip regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Gabriella Hill was in breach of R10.3 (g) (frequency) and having considered her record in this regard (second offence) they suspended her for four racedays.
