K. J. Leonard stated that his mount became unbalanced and drifted left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, that N.J. Ryan, rider of Port Louis, had presented to weigh out at 2lbs overweight, none of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case and apologised. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that N. J. Ryan was in breach of Rule 198 (vii) (a) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards fined N. J. Ryan €150 on this occasion. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards received a request from Noel Meade, Trainer of Port Louis, to substitute N. J. Ryan with B. M.
