The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

L. F. Roche replaced R.P. Cleary on Idomything, trained by C.W.J. Farrell (Race 1)(unwell)

097A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

W.J. Lee, rider of Gypsy Queen, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

097B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Broadstone (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed fourth and Hostility, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed second, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that though he attempted to maintain his line, things got tight, so he took his mount back for a stride. S. Foley stated that his mount was a difficult ride who hung right and that things became tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found S. Foley, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 2 days.

097C Sinbin Events M'dn

R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Barney McGee, trained by J.F. O'Shea, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount refused to load.

W.J. Lee, rider of Navy Waters, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount shied away from the kick back.

Prior to the running of race three the official going was changed to soft.

The Raceday Stewards informed J.F. O'Shea, trainer that Barney McGee, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

097D2 Munster Suite @ Limerick H'cap

Prior to the running of race five the official going was changed to soft to heavy.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Venetian, ridden by S P Davis, and trained by S P Davis. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he struggled to get a clear run. He further stated that he rode the horse out hands and heels to finish to the best of his ability. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Venetian was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered in relation to Rule 212.

S.P. Davis, rider of Venetian, trained by Sean Davis, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount struggled to get a clear run.

D.S. O'Sullivan, rider of Relevant Range, trained by Gillian Scott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen early on.

097E Great National South Court Hotel H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Merisi Diamond, trained by Ms. Joanna Morgan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount kicked the back door of the stalls and the front door opened, but his mount did not charge forward.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Oriole (GB), trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

Nathan Crosse, rider of Quatre Bras, trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a little check turning in.

097F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Matrice, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.P. McDonogh was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Bay Colony, trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a bad step at the road as the lead horse was ducking left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

097G D & E Behan H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of Slieve Bearnagh, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.P. Whelan was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for five racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D. McMonagle, rider of Out For A Stroll, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D. McMonagle was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.

B.M. Coen, rider of Game Phoenix, trained by Paul Power, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked coming out of the stalls and unseated. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

R.M Mulligan, rider of Cu Chulainn (GB), trained by Laura Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount jumped right leaving the gates.
