100A Kildare Hunt Club S'chase (Ladies Cup)
The Raceday Stewards granted a request from W.P. Murphy, trainer of Grageen, for an additional 10 minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately five furlongs from the finish involving Fralimonti Bilbery (FR), ridden by Mr J.W. Hendrick, Haggard, ridden by Mr R. James, and Tech Talk, ridden by Mr D.G. Lavery where it appeared Fralimonti Bilbery got tight for room making contact with the railing. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. J.W. Hendrick said he ran short of room making contact with the railing. Mr. R. James said his mount jinked towards the gap in the railing but he was aware of the horse on his inside. Mr. D.G. Lavery thought he left room for a horse on the inside but wasn't aware of the second horse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied D.G. Lavery was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for seven racedays.
Mr R. James, rider of Haggard, trained by Colin Bowe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer confirmed the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.
100B Albert Bartlett Series Final H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed A.P. Kelly, rider of Billy Lee Swagger, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for two racedays.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Timmy Tuesday, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a small wound on its inside left fore fetlock but to be otherwise post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Blue Hop, trained by B.F. Brookhouse (in GB), at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a right fore shoe but to be otherwise post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hartur D'arc (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Anthony McCann, trainer, in relation to him contributing to a false start by standing on the track in the path of the horses when the starter called the runners forward. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and from the I.H.R.B. starter Mr. J.R. Banahan. Anthony McCann said he didn't realise he was on the track until it was too late and apologised for his error. Mr. J.R. Banahan said he couldn't start the race as Anthony McCann was on the track in the path of the horses. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the trainer was in breach of R272(i)(improper conduct) and having considered his clean record, they fined him five hundred euros.
100C The KPMG Champion Novice H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kopek Des Bordes (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
100F William Hill Champion S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fact To File (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have an abrasion on its inside left fore fetlock but to be otherwise post race normal.
P.T. Enright, rider of Senecia, trained by Vincent Laurence Halley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake down the back.
100H Willie Coonan Memorial INH Flat RaceThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Max Meridius, trained by Thomas Mullins, was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined the trainer €130 in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148(xii).
The Raceday Stewards enquired from Mr. B. O'Neill, rider of Eagle Of Destiny, who reported that his mount sustained an injury causing him to bump I'm A Rocket Man before being unseated. Having reviewed the video evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
Mr M.N. Sharpe, rider of I'm A Rocket Man, trained by Stephen Gerard Carey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got badly hampered by the injured horse.
Miss A.B. O'Connor, rider of Answer That, trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung left and lost action turning in.
Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Famous Figure, trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left and ran green in the straight.
Mr F. Maguire, rider of Starting Fifteen (GB), trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen throughout.
