The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.W. Kennedy replaced K.M. Donoghue on Frontal Assault, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 5)(Intended Mount a Non-Runner)

032B Apple's Jade (Mares) Novice Hurdle

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Etincelle Lioterie (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake early, never travelled thereafter and pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Etincelle Lioterie (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its right hind post race.

032C Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne H'dle

The Stewards interviewed J.W. Kennedy, rider of Fury Road, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he gave his horse two flicks before the last and lost count but accepted that he exceeded the guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 1 race day.

032D Ladbrokes Safer Gambling H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Jordan Colin Gainford, rider of Fierami (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account cautioned the rider on this occasion.

032E Ladbrokes Ten Up Novice S'chase

P.D. Kennedy, rider of Mr Hendricks trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled on the ground.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mr Hendricks, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

032F Racing Again March 6th H'cap S'chase

H. Morgan, rider of Young Dev, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his right stirrup iron broke early on and he kicked out the other one.

The Stewards interviewed Mr E. Mahon, rider of Se Mo Laoch, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his horse was a laid back type, was always responding but admitted that he exceeded the guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account cautioned the rider on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Envol Pierji (FR), trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

032G Flower Hill (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards received a report from Mr. A. Tyrell, M.R.C.V.S., Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that he was unable to positively identify Captain Planet, trained by C.W.J. Farrell, from the markings contained in the passport presented for this horse. Evidence was heard from Mr. John Wafer who attended with the horse and the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer. The Stewards noted that Mr. Wafer had not been appointed to represent the Trainer in accordance with Rule 147. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Captain Planet and referred both matters to the CEO of the IHRB for further investigation.

032H Surehaul Mercedes-Benz Novice H'dl

The Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Frontal Assault, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Mr. Elliott reported that this horse was tried in blinkers last time which seemed to make him too keen. Having considered the report the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
