The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pride Of Place, trained by Michael Hourigan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed T.P. Harney, rider of Arabian King (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that T. P. Harney was in breach of Regulation 10.3.b(the hitting of his mount after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone) and having considered T. P. Harney's record in this regard (third offence under Regulation 10) the Raceday Stewards suspended T. P. Harney for eight racedays.
