The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Mags, ridden by P.A. Harnett, unplaced, Showhound (GB), ridden by K.J. Leonard, unplaced, and Racing Royalty (GB), ridden by D.W. O'Connor, unplaced, where it appeared Mags had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.A. Harnett said he had to take a check. K.J. Leonard said his mount drifted slightly right. D.W. O'Connor said he received slight interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise K.J. The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Ciaran Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Finsceal Annie, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Ciaran Murphy attributed the apparent improvement in form to the drop in trip combined with the softer ground. Subsequently the Raceday Stewards became aware of an explanation given by the trainer to the press which wasn't proffered to the Raceday Stewards, to the effect that Finsceal Annie was in season on its last run. As a consequence of this the Raceday Stewards referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.J.Martin, trainer, and P.A. Harnett, rider, of Westminster Moon, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the parade ring, who then proceeded to cross the ring without the permission of an official. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he had difficulties applying the tongue strap. This delayed his arrival to the parade ring and he didn't want to delay the start so he instructed the groom to cross the ring and go straight out. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the trainer's explanation and reminded him of his future obligations regarding the parade ring procedures.

The trainer reported that the step up in trip helped and he felt his charge acted better at this track. He further added that there was a crop of oil seed rape near his yard and this may not have helped. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted it's content.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Obama Army (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Saxon Kingdom, trained by Thomas Dowling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered turning in. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
