The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving Distillate (GB), ridden by S. Coen, Comfort Line, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Rene Artois, ridden by Rebecca Parsons, and Reponse Finale, ridden by A.J. Casey where it appeared numerous horses came close together. Adam Caffrey stated that he received a bump from his inside. Rebecca Parsons stated that the gap closed and she got pushed back. S. Coen stated that it got congested from his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approximately two furlongs from home involving Prince Of Eyeries, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed first, and Tofino, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed third, where it appeared contact was made between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. J.R. Banahan, that when he pushed the start button to open the stalls, they failed to open on the first attempt. Having checked that all riders and horses were ok, he proceeded to start the race and the stalls opened. He further informed the Stewards the stalls seemed to be in working order and they would be tested again prior to the second race. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that a technical fault had occurred and no further action was warranted.

Powell was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
