The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.J. O'Hanlon rode A Mere Bagatelle (reserve) trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 1)
C.J. Orr replaced J.C. Gainford on Loudest Whisper, trained by E. D. Delany (Race 2)(stood down)
S.F. O'Keeffe rode Nathaniel's Dream (GB) (reserve) trained by A.J.Martin (Race 2)
C.J. Orr replaced J.C. Gainford on Benefit Run, trained by Ross O'Sullivan (Race 4)(stood down)
L.T. McAteer rode Timourid (reserve) trained by Paul W. Flynn (Race 5)
S.F. O'Keeffe replaced P. Townend on Robinnia, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 4)(stood down)

219A Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Stewards received a report from Ms. J. Walsh , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.G. Gilligan , rider of Old Chap , presented himself to the scales 3lbs over the weight allocated to Old Chap. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that the horse was not supposed to run as he had ran yesterday but a late decision to run left him short on time to do the weight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.G. Gilligan was in breach of Rule 195(i) by failing in his responsibility to weight out at the correct weight. Having considered his clean previous record in this regard, the Stewards fined J.G. Gilligan €150 on this occasion. In accordance with Rule 198(vii), the Stewards allowed J.G. Gilligan to take up his mount.

219B Kenny Galway H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed R.J. Condon, rider of Kells Priory, concerning his use of the whip in the closing of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that R.J. Condon was in breach of R10.3(g) and considering his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Sight Nor Seen trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

E. D. Delany, trainer of Loudest Whisper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge lost a front shoe in running.

219C Eileen Kelly Memorial S'chase

The Stewards interviewed C.J. Orr, rider of Politesse, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted his had used his whip outside the guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C.J. Orr was in breach of R10.3(g) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 3 racedays.

219D Lord Hemphill Memorial H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed J.W. Kennedy, rider of Vado Forte (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip outside the guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that J.W. Kennedy was in breach of R10.3(g) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 4 racedays.

219E Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Ahonoora' Hcap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Saltonstall (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.A. Powell, rider of No More Porter trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly into stride once the gates opened.

219F Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Allesnick, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed fourth, Roman Moon, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed second, and Evening's Empire, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed first, where it appeared contact was made between Allesnick and Evening's Empire. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that he felt contact but it made no difference to his finishing position. K.J. Manning stated that he was was not affected by the incident. C.D. Hayes stated that his horse rolled right but he felt he corrected him as quick as possible in the circumstances. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action other than to remind C.D. Hayes to ride with more awareness in future.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Rattle And Hum trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get a clear run in the straight.

219G Ireland West Airport Knock H'cap

The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider of Mr Trinket, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip outside the guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C.P. Hoban was in breach of R10.3(g) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.
