The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R. Whearty rode American In Paris (reserve) trained by Paul W. Flynn (Race 4)
R. Coakley rode Shelbourne Flyer (reserve) trained by John C. McConnell (Race 4)

162A Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

The Raceday Stewards granted permission for Unbreakable Duke to run in accordance with the provision of Rule 90(v) as a positive identification could be made despite the discrepancies in the markings as recorded in the Passport. The Trainer has 30 days to update the passport to the satisfaction of an IHRB Veterinary Officer/Assistant.

162B Comer Homes H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stella Alpina, trained by W. McCreery, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race and also to have a small wound on the inside of its right hind tendon area.

J.A. Powell, rider of Manhattan Chute, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room up the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately one furlong after the start involving Midnight Horizon, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed first, and Send Harry, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed third, where it appeared J.M Sheridan had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that he caused himself to check and was never in the gap. J.A. Heffernan stated that he wasn't aware of a horse on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action other than to advise J.A. Heffernan to ride with more awareness in future.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Manhattan Chute, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fifth, Grand Dante (USA), ridden by W. Joyce, placed sixth, Tomarlo (GB), ridden by R. Coakley, placed fourth, and Send Harry, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed third, where it appeared J.A. Powell had to sit momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Powell stated that his mount was weakening and he received no interference. J.A. Heffernan stated that he got a split at the right time. W. Joyce stated that he kept a straight line. R. Coakley stated that his mount momentarily shifted right but he felt he was clear at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

162D La Bucca Restaurants H'cap

M.W Hassett, rider of Von Krolock, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tiring between the two furlong and one furlong pole and leaned right as a result.

R.M Mulligan, rider of He's Justagent, trained by Paul Mulligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

162E Pat's Carpets Race

R. Whearty, rider of Booyea, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped awkwardly from the stalls.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Hurricane Ivor, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood on himself jumping out of the stalls.

162F Irish EBF Median Auction M'dn

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Delta (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, and Edelak, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that Delta was always clear of him. D. McMonagle stated that his mount rolled around up the straight but was clear of Edelak. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D. McMonagle, rider of Delta (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around up the straight.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Edelak, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he used his whip down the shoulder for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no breach of Regulation 10 had occurred and took no further action.
