The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Mark Fahey, trainer of Found Beau (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G. Brouder replaced R. Deegan on Younowhatimean, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy (Race 4)(stood down)

132A Randox M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Sam Ewing, rider of Jazz De Cotte (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Sam Ewing was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for three racedays.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend approaching the last hurdle involving Jazz De Cotte (FR), ridden by Sam Ewing, placed second, The Cistercian, ridden by R.A. Berry, unseated, and Welcome Back, ridden by J.C. Gainford, unplaced, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.A. Berry stated that he received contact from his inside and his mount ran around. J.C. Gainford stated that he received minor contact but his mount overexaggerated. Sam Ewing stated that a gap opened as the horse on his outside was tiring. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

132B Frank And Brian Fitzsimons H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from James Andrew Fahey, trainer of Demanding Gerry, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

132C Down Royal Horse Breeders H'cap H'dle

K.C. Sexton, rider of Truly Elegant, trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran up on heels causing him to stumble shortly after the start. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

132E Dennison JCB M'dn Hunters S'chase

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr P.A. King, rider of Grageen, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr P.A. King was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.

132G Caherty Point-To-Point INH Flat Race

Mr D. O'Sullivan, rider of Noble Name, trained by Ms Claire O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for a stride on the point of the bend pass the stands.

Mr A.J. Lord, rider of Coded Welder, trained by Paul Mulligan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ducked out.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend passing the stands involving Coolboy Christy, ridden by Miss P. Elvin, placed second, and Noble Name, ridden by Mr D. O'Sullivan, slipped up, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr D. O'Sullivan stated that it got very tight on the point of the bend and was unsure if any contact was made. Miss P. Elvin stated that she maintained her racing line all the way around the bend and never felt contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
