The Licensing Committee convened on Monday 20 July 2026, to review the interim suspension of licence imposed on Brandon Wilkie, Rider, on 18 April 2026 pending the outcome of criminal proceedings in England.
Following the conclusion of those proceedings in July 2026, Mr Wilkie applied to the Licensing Committee for a review of his suspension.
Having considered the circumstances and submissions made, the Licensing Committee determined that the interim suspension should remain in place for a further period of six months.
The Committee considered that further engagement by Mr Wilkie with the IHRB, including the IHRB Chief Medical Officer, is necessary before it can determine whether he is a fit and proper person to hold a rider's licence. Any future application to review the suspension will be considered in light of his engagement with that process and any other relevant information before the Committee at that time.
The decision is subject to appeal in accordance with the Rules of Racing.
