On the 15 of October 2026, the Directors of the IHRB approved the following changes which will become effective on 15 day of October 2026:
Rule 211(c)
(i) A Horse shall not carry or wear any equipment during the running of a Race that is not present on the Horse in the parade ring prior to the Race.
(ii) No item of equipment carried or worn by a Horse in the parade ring shall be removed from the Horse before the start of the Race, unless such removal is required or permitted under these Rules or Regulations, or is authorised by the Raceday Stewards.
(iii) The use of any form of tight binding on a Horse’s tail as a method of preventing internal bleeding or any other disorder is strictly forbidden and any Trainer using such method shall be liable to sanction by the Raceday Stewards in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14
