W.M. Lordan, rider of No Wunder (GB), trained by David Wachman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount received accidental interference close home. The Stewards confirmed this from the video evidence.

The Stewards received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer that Volume (GB) trained by Luca Cumani (in GB) was found to be wearing hind shoes with protrusions contrary to Regulation 16, prior to the running of this race. The Stewards gave permission for the filly to run provided the protrusions and/or the shoes could be removed. The removal of the protrusions from the shoes proved difficult, despite being attended to by two farriers, resulting in an unavoidable delay. The farriers achieved the removal of the protrusions prior to the time limit imposed by the Stewards allowing the filly to run.
