The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Compass Hill (USA) trained by John Joseph Murphy was lame on his right fore leg having pulled his right fore shoe.

The Stewards received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer that Sherbert (GB) trained by Jonathan Fogarty had failed to arrive at the Racecourse within the designated time. The Stewards were unable to contact Johnathan Fogarty to conduct an enquiry and consequently ordered the withdrawal of Sherbert under the provisions of Rule 19 (ii), and referred the matter to the Chief Executive of the Turf Club for further investigation.
