The Stewards requested reports from R.P. Whelan, rider of Deise Delight, W.J. Lee, rider of White Winged Dove (USA) and N.G. McCullagh, rider of Camachita, following the unseating of N.M. Crosse, rider of Burren Orchid, approximately five and a half furlongs from the finish. R.P. Whelan reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suddenly ducked right for no apparent reason which caused the unseating of N.M. Crosse. W.J. Lee, who was racing behind the incident reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that Burren Orchid appeared to suddenly duck right. N.G. McCullagh, who also raced behind the incident reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that Burren Orchid appeared to suddenly shift right. N.M. Crosse was unable to report to the Stewards due to being attended to by medical staff. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the reports the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action. |
