The Stewards requested a report from R.Donohoe, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Happy Anniversary, placed first, as compared with her recent form. The trainer reported that the filly performed consistently last season until her last two runs here at Dundalk when her form had tailed off. He reported that she sustained an injury in the Spring, requiring surgery and as a result only ran twice so far this year. He was satisfied with her first run back at Naas at the start of August but admitted the filly ran poorly on her next run at Galway. He had her checked out afterwards, and while nothing came to light, he decided to give her a week or two off and freshen her up, and this together with a drop into a lower grade race tonight, may have brought about any apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Stewards noted the explanations offered. |

The Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien as to the apparent improvement in form of the winner,Beach Of Falesa, as compared with its recent form. The trainers representative, Pat Keating reported that the horse disappointed on her last start in a Listed race over a mile and a half at the Curragh. Regarding the penultimate run at Listowel, he reported that the horse raced freely and emptied in the closing stages on the extremely testing conditions. He concluded by saying that today's drop in both trip and class had helped his charge return to form. Having considered the report the Stewards noted its content. |
