The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S. W. Flanagan rode Man Oh Man (reserve) trained by W.J. Burke (Race 4)
G. Brouder replaced D.J Gilligan on Derridae, trained by Moses McCabe (Race 5)(Unwell)
D. E. Mullins rode Leish Oscars Son (reserve) trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 5)
Mr. H. C. Swan replaced D.J Gilligan on Rochestown, trained by Brendan Maurice Walsh (Race 6)(Unwell).
E. Walsh replaced D. King on Whiskey Lady, trained by Gillian Scott (Race 2)(Injured).
M. J. M. O'Sullivan replaced D. King on Lightontheriver, trained by Miss J.M.Lee (Race 4)(Injured).

358A 2024 Annual Badge At Tramore M'dn H'dle

R. Deegan, rider of Gentle Lady, trained by Liam G O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen, stopped quickly and pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Jolie Coeur Allen (FR), ridden by M.P. Walsh, and trained by W.P. Mullins. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainers Authorised representative Mr. Brendan Kenny. M.P. Walsh stated that his filly ran very keen throughout and never settled. He added that the two hurdles in the straight being bypassed didn't help as these would have enabled him to get a breather and as soon as he let her down she emptied. Mr. Brendan Kenny confirmed the instructions given adding that he was happy with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Jolie Coeur Allen (FR) was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered and took no further action.

358B New Years Discount Tickets (M) M'dn H'dl

R.A. Doyle, rider of Majestic Design, trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer subsequently confirmed the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Rachel's Secret, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who felt that he did not breach the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.P. O'Sullivan was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Declan Queally, trainer of Majestic Design and Rachel's Secret, regarding the late arrival of his horses into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that the seven minute delay to the first race left him tight on time to try and tack them up and bring them to the parade ring. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted his explanation.

358C Book A Table For New Years (M) Hcap Hdle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at around the 2 furlong marker involving Lucky Viv, ridden by A. McCurtin, unplaced, Lissen To The Lady, ridden by Miss J. Walton, placed sixth, C'est Rien, ridden by M.J.M O'Sullivan, placed fourth, and Glorious Singer, ridden by E.M. O'Sullivan, placed fifth, where it appeared Lissen To The Lady got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A. McCurtain stated that he kept a straight line. Miss J. Walton stated that she had to take a check. M.J.M. O'Sullivan stated that he was on the outside and left plenty room for the horses on his inner. E.M. O'Sullivan stated that he was on the inner and kept a straight line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found A. McCurtain was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays.

Miss J. Walton, rider of Lissen To The Lady, trained by Miss M.Harding, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount got squeezed out at the two furlong marker.

R. Deegan, rider of Will It Be You, trained by Liam P Cusack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his leather broke and he pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards received a request from Miss J.M.Lee, trainer of Lightontheriver, to substitute the nominated rider D. King, with M.J.M. O'Sullivan, due to D. King being stood down. Miss J.M. Lee explained that M.J.M. O'Sullivan knew Lightontheriver well having ridden her numerous times at home and with her charge being difficult to handle it would be in her best interest for someone that knows the filly to ride her. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the rider change.

The Raceday Stewards fined Rodger Sweeney, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared cheek pieces to Sean Says prior to entering the ring.

358E Doneraile Walk Beginners S'chase

A. McCurtin, rider of Soldat Flamboyant, trained by Daniel G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly.

358F Ladies Cove H'cap S'chase

Mr A.P. Ryan, rider of Kilashee, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't handle the ground.

358G Garrarus Beach (Ladies PA) INH Flat Race

Miss H. Heffernan, rider of Gabbys Doll House, trained by James Andrew Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount never travelled.
