The Raceday Stewards granted permission for Bruce Lightning, trained by Patrick Martin, to run without hind shoes in this race.

359B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction M'dn

L.T. McAteer, rider of Cuban Confusion (GB), trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too free early on.

L.F. Roche, rider of Gesture, trained by Eoghan Joseph O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room early on. Having reviewed the incident the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Ciao For Now (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount got upset in the stalls.

359C Dundlak Stadium Est. 29th Nov. 2003 H'cp

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Secret Magician, trained by Martin Hassett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around in the straight.

359D Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap

J.A. Powell, rider of Tawaazon, trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.

359E1 Dundalk Stadium H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed M.P. Sheehy, rider of Circus Act, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was responding and he lost count. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account suspended him for six race days.

J. Kearney, rider of Hidden Land (USA), trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was keen throughout.

S.P. Davis, rider of Mosaaheb (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left up the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dreams Fled Away, trained by Shane Crawley, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

359E2 Dundalk Stadium H'cap

N.G. McCullagh, rider of Elzaamsan, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left when under pressure and was immediately corrected. The Raceday Stewards reviewed this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Molly Hall, trained by Barry J. Fitzgerald, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right under pressure.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Breagagh, trained by S. Michael Millar, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to take a check at the bottom of the straight.

359F Now Racing Every Wednesday M'dn

The Raceday Stewards informed Luke Comer, trainer, through his authorised representative that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge He Is Brave, who ran free prior to the start of this race and was withdrawn may render the animal liable to suspension.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr.D.Maher, that G.F. Carroll, rider of War Correspondent, placed 5th, had failed to present himself to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that it was an oversight on his behalf and apologised for his error. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that G.F.Carroll was in breach of Rule 227(i) in that he had failed to present himself to weigh in as required and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards disqualified War Correspondent in accordance with the provisions of Rule 230(ii). Result now reads, First; Saturn, Second; Banana Three, Third; Garrybello, Fourth; Free Flow, Fifth; Nakassama.

359G Gateway Hotel Dundalk Race & Stay H'cap

Adam Caffrey, rider of Bright N Shine, trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Sky Legend (GB), ridden by S.D. Bowen, placed 3rd, Bright N Shine, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed 2nd, and Mille Miglia (GB), ridden by C.D. Maxwell, unplaced, where it appeared that interference may have occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.D.Maxwell stated that he recieved a bump and had kept a straight line. Adam Caffrey stated that a gap appeared in front of him but was closed as he went for it. S.D. Bowen stated that his mount hung left and he felt that he had made every effort to correct it. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found S.D. Bowen, was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding), and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards cautioned him.
