At the request of the Raceday Stewards, A.P. Heskin, rider of Knockbrack Rambler, trained by Brendan Maurice Walsh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount raced freely early in the race and made a bad mistake at the second last hurdle.

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Duke Of Doyen, trained by Darren Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the home straight.

357C Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the second last hurdle involving Dgalwaygallivantor, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed first, and Thelonglad, ridden by P.K. Donovan. placed third where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence C. Stone-Walsh stated that he got pushed right on landing over the second last hurdle and had to lean on the leader to avoid colliding with the doll. P.K. Donovan stated that his horse jumped to the right at the second last and was holding his line afterwards but admitted that he knew there was a horse inside him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found P.K. Donovan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden improperly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for ten racedays.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Champagne Saloon, trained by Sean Aherne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left.

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Dgalwaygallivantor, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room after the second last hurdle.

C.G. O'Dwyer, rider of Robin Elite, trained by Gearoid O'Loughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Robin Elite trained by Gearoid O'Loughlin was seen to have blood at both nostrils post race.

K.E. Buckley, rider of Caldwell Diamond (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly before the third last hurdle.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Rebel Early, trained by W.J. Burke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Cinsa (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a false step after the second last hurdle.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Cinsa (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins was lame of her left fore post race.

357F Kevin McManus Bookmaker H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lucky Max (GER), trained by Sean Thomas Doyle, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed G.B. Noonan, rider of Falco Blitz, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. G.B. Noonan accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found G.B. Noonan was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and in considering his record in this regard they suspended him for eight racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Falco Blitz trained by E. McNamara was seen to have blood at nostrils post race.

357G I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Beg. S'chase

The Raceday Stewards received a request from Cian Collins, trainer of Ideal Du Tabert (FR), to substitute the nominated rider D.J Gilligan, with J.S. McGarvey, due to D.J. Gilligan being stood down. Cian Collins outlined that he had booked D. King, who had been approved by the Raceday Stewards, and who was a more like for like rider but he was stood down after a fall and he was left with few options. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the request.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

The Raceday Stewards received a report from I.H.R.B. Clerk of the Course, Mr. Paul Moloney, regarding an altercation between himself and Mr. T.J. O'Mara, trainer, as he was coming off the track after the third race whereby he was both verbally and physically abused by Mr. O'Mara. Evidence was heard from Mr. Paul Moloney, Mr. Damian Skehan, Cork Racecourse employee, and Mr. Frank Cloone, I.H.R.B. Security Officer. Mr. Moloney stated that he was approached by Mr. O'Mara who became increasingly abusive and aggressive towards him which resulted in Mr. O'Mara becoming physical. Mr. Cloone outlined how he tried to make contact with Mr. O'Mara to ask him to attend the Stewards room. Mr. O'Mara was contacted by his Authorised representative, Mr Matthew Tynan, who informed I.H.R.B. Security Official Mr. Mick King that he would not be attending the Stewards Room. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards referred the matter on to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.
