The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

David Harry Kelly, trainer of Corkbeg (off feed) - €200

233A Three Ireland Rated Novice S'chase

J. Hogan, rider of Alexharwill, trained by L.Young, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount plunged and unseated him after the race was started.

P. Townend, rider of Chrisco (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Anthony Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Rotten Row, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on its previous run when pulling up. He further stated that despite his best efforts he was unable to find an explanation for that poor run, but had used the services of a Chiropractor as his charge had previous back issues. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend approaching the home straight on the final circuit involving Ahead Of The Posse, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, Chrisco (FR), ridden by P. Townend, and Itwasfate (GB), ridden by Rachael Blackmore, where it appeared that Chrisco ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.M. Donoghue stated that his mount ran slightly off the bend and that he did not contribute to the incident. P. Townend stated that his mount rounded the bend badly which contributed to him running short of room. R. Blackmore stated that her mount moved slightly inwards but was immediately corrected. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and therefore took no further action.
