The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.J. Slevin rode Windsor Diamond (reserve) trained by James M. Barcoe (Race 5)

273A Bar One Racing Multiples M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.J.Martin trainer, concerning the behaviour of his charge Keeptheoldmanout, who unseated the rider at the start and again after the race was started. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that Keeptheoldmanout was a very nervous animal and that he was making every effort to address the situation and concluded by fully accepting that the behaviour of his charge was unacceptable. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards suspended Keeptheoldmanout for 30days in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14(iii).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ivana (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff post race.

P. Townend, rider of Ivana (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake and was pulled up thereafter.

273C Bar One Racing (Ladies) H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H.T. Hynes, that Ms. C.L. McGoldrick, intended rider of Walhaan, was reported to be having transport issues and would not be fulfilling her riding engagement which was confirmed by Ciaran Murphy, trainer of Walhaan. Having considered the matter the raceday Stewards were satisfied that Ms. C. L. McGoldrick was in breach of Rule 198(v) and fined her €200 in her absence. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards allowed the withdrawal of Walhaan at the request of the trainer, as he was unable to find a suitable replacement for Ms. McGoldrick owing to the conditions of the race.

273D1 Bar One Racing Sign Up Offer H'cap H'dle

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Up And Out, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

E. Walsh, rider of Princess Sophia, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was reluctant to line up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jinxs Link, trained by M.M. Rice, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

273D2 Bar One Racing Sign Up Offer H'cap H'dle

P.T. Enright, rider of Ishan (FR), trained by S. Curling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped deliberately throughout.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.S. McGarvey, rider of In For The Night, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of R10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.S. McGarvey was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(excessive frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for three racedays.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H.T. Hynes, that K.M. Donoghue, rider of Always Force It, had weighed in at 1.2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that K.M. Donoghue was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Anthony Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Duncarrig, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on its previous run and may have suffered from a lack of confidence owing to a fall prior to that. The trainer further added that his charge may have benefited from plenty of day light on this occasion by racing wide and felt this may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.

273E Bar One Racing Price Boost M'dn H'dle

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Arabian Diamond, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went lame and was quickly pulled up.

Miss C. Butler, rider of Jullou De Grissay (FR), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount clipped a heel on the bend after the third hurdle. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H.T. Hynes, that M.J. Molloy, rider of Another Red Cat, had weighed in at 2.9lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M.J. Molloy was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his record they suspended him for one race day.

273F Navan Racing Festival November Hcap Hdle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the second last hurdle involving Appian Way (FR), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, and Lets Do This, ridden by J.C. Gainford, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.W. Kennedy stated that a gap appeared and both he and J.C. Gainford went for it at the same time and contact was made between both. J.C. Gainford confirmed the evidence of J.W. Kennedy. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and therefore took no further action.

273G Kevin Bell Rep. Trust (PA) INH Flat Race

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Meet My Loreley, trained by Barry Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green when he hit the front and drifted left in the final furlong.
