The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

386A Geary's Garage Veterans H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards interviewed H. Morgan, rider of Ex Patriot, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, H. Morgan did not accept he was in breach of the regulation as he felt the first strike did not make contact with his mount. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found H. Morgan was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record in this regard they cautioned him on this occasion.

386C QuinnBet H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the downhill run to the home straight involving Sir Allen (GB), ridden by Mr A.P. Ryan, Media Naranja, ridden by Sam Ewing, Luminous Light (GB), ridden by S.W. Flanagan, Whimsy (GB), ridden by J.P. O'Sullivan, Your Honor, ridden by G. Brouder and Mercury Mission (GB), ridden by S. Fitzgerald where it appeared interference may have occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. A.P. Ryan stated that he felt pressure from both his inside and outside on the home bend. J.P. O'Sullivan stated that he was trying to hold his line whilst receiving pressure from his inside. S.W. Flanagan stated that he was on the outside of the field and not involved in the incident. S. Fitzgerald stated that he was travelling on the inside of Media Naranja and not involved in the incident. G. Brouder stated that he was leading at this point and not involved in any incident. Sam Ewing stated that it got tight for room and he mostly felt pressure from his outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and therefore they took no further action.

Sam Ewing, rider of Media Naranja, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room turning in to the home straight.

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Whimsy (GB), trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered by the faller at the last hurdle.

386D Parkway Shopping Centre Rated Nov. H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined She's A Fine Wine, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Anthony McCann, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Starman (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Anthony McCann, Trainer, stated that his two previous runs may have come too close together and a short break and being suited to a smaller field may have contributed to todays improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.

386F Get In The Game Racing M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Marciano, trained by E. J. O'Grady, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from William P Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Aghmorough Bridge, placed first, as compared with its recent form. William Murphy, Trainer, stated that at the time of her last run the stable were under a cloud and after giving her a short break she seems to have returned in better form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.
