The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

208A Hurling For Cancer August 21st M'dn Hdle

M.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of Aegirine, trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered a cut to his near fore.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, M.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of Aegirine, trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount missed the third last, stumbled coming down the hill and stayed on with no more to give.

208B Coast To Curragh On August 26 H'cap Hdle

K. Callaghan, rider of Crowsatedappletart, trained by Michael Winters, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

P.T. Enright, rider of Sheer Bravado, trained by Sean Aherne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last and weakened.

Sean Aherne, trainer of Sheer Bravado, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge scoped badly post race.

208C Treo Eile Retraining Racehorses Mdn Hdle

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Inchidaly Robin, trained by Alexander Ott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hesitant at the start and would not jump off.

The Raceday Stewards informed Alexander Ott, trainer of Inchidaly Robin, that a repeat performance of his charge, who refused to race, may render the horse liable for suspension.

208D1 Racing Again October 21st H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed V. T. O'Brien, trainer, in relation to his charge Cottage Artist being presented without hind shoes. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer Ms. N. O'Connor. In his evidence, V.T. O'Brien stated that he was unaware of the change to Regulation 16 since the 3rd of July. He explained that his charge is very difficult to shoe and stated that upon arrival he was informed of the issue. He further added that Liam Brennan, racecourse farrier, tried several times to shoe her behind which was witnessed by Ms. N. O'Connor but all attempts failed. Ms. N. O'Connor stated that she witnessed Mr. Brennan attempting to shoe Cottage Artist who got increasingly difficult. She added that the mare had a good hind hoof and in her opinion did not see her running without hind shoes being an issue. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed Cottage Artist to run on this occasion.

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Well Joey, trained by Paul Stafford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by a faller and pulled up.

R.J. Condon, rider of Share The Joy, trained by W.J.Lanigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the fourth last and pulled up.

Ms.M.Flynn, trainer of Porky Rush, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her jockey C. Brassil said Porky Rush stopped quickly. Furthermore she added that she got her charge examined by the racecourse vet and he was found to be post race normal.

208D2 Racing Again October 21st H'cap H'dle

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Mr D. Doyle, rider of Delias Pet, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had not been seeing out her races so today he sat and waited with her and she came home well passing beaten horses.

208E Panoramic Restaurant H'cap H'dle

G.P. Brouder, rider of My Manekineko (GB), trained by Peter McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up in the straight when his chance was gone.

E. Walsh, rider of Junior Alliance, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Aengus King, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Fill The Tank, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Aengus King stated that Fill The Tank has had back issues which he has been treating and he felt that this may have helped bring about today's apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

Miss Evanna McCutcheon, trainer of Smallcraftwarning, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge was distressed pulling up. She further stated that Smallcraftwarning was examined by the racecourse vet and found to be post race normal.

208F Limerick Races On Facebook INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after the start involving Huntsgrove, ridden by Mr H.C. Swan and Mount Shenshan, ridden by Mr S. Cavanagh where it appeared Huntsgrove ducked for the paddock entrance and impeeded Mount Shenshan. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J. Sexton, rider of Mountain Fame, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr. J. Sexton accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found Mr. J. Sexton was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b) (unnecessary hitting of a horse when your chance of winning or being placed is gone) and having taken his previous record into account the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr. J. Sexton for two Racedays.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms Aveena O'Keeffe, regarding the failure of Mr N.J. O'Mara, rider of Champagne Dawn, placed fifth to weigh in after this race due to Mr. N.J. O'Mara being attended to by the medics following a fall after the horse had crossed the line. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards using their powers under Rule 230(i) allowed the Judge's result to stand and took no further action.
