    How To Become a Jockey Valet


    Applicants must be a minimum of 25 years old and provide two relevant references within the context of the application for example business or management experience, industry experience.  

    Applicants are expected to demonstrate career experience and competence and to submit a minimum of three proposed clients.  

    Each applicant must complete an interview with the Licensing Committee.

It is the responsibility of the licence holder to inform the IHRB Licensing Department of any changes to persons employed or working on behalf of your company. Any person not registered with the IHRB, will not be permitted into the areas accessed by valets or any other integrity areas and we reserve the right to remove any individual who is not appropriately registered from the integrity areas. It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that each of their registered employees is a fit and proper person and appropriately trained to provide the valet service. You are reminded that all individuals operating under your license are subject to the Rules and your attention is specifically drawn to the following rules. It is the responsibility of the license holder to ensure that all individuals operating under your license are fully advised of their responsibilities and obligations. 

Renewal reminders and information is issued four weeks prior to renewal


Jockey Valets must have achieved the required CPD points and ensure that Valet Assistants have been registered with the IHRB.
