
Jockey Agents
A jockey's agent plays a crucial role in the horse racing industry by acting as the intermediary between the jockey and potential employers such as trainers, owners, and race organisers.

Applicants must be:
- A minimum of 25 years.
- Must provide two relevant references within the context of the application e.g. business/management experience: industry experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate career experience and competence.
- Must submit a minimum of three proposed clients.
- Each applicant must complete an interview with the Licensing Committee.

The Licensing year begins on 1 December each year, a renewal reminder and information will be issued to Licensed Agents 4 weeks in advance of the renewal date.
All Agents are expected to have achieved the required CPD points -
A Licensed Jockey Agent may be appointed by a Master Trainer to represent their Apprentice, but only if the Apprentice is claiming 7lbs or less.The licensing year for Jockey Agents start on the 1 December and ends on the 30 November each year.
