The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-
S. Curling, trainer of Sound Money (GB) (transport difficulties) - €200170A Diageo M'dn H'dle
Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Last One, trained by P.J. Rothwell, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jakoby, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have lost the right fore shoe and to be otherwise post race normal.
J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Last One trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly throughout.
At the request of the Stewards, M. Hamill, rider of Hillview Heidi, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled, had no more to give and was pulled up thereafter.
170D Neville Hotels Beginners S'chaseThe Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Dorans River, trained by S.J.Mahon, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).
170E J Donohoe BMW S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Conrad Hastings, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
At the request of the Stewards, B. Hayes, rider of Fenlon's Hill, trained by Paul Stafford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount empties quickly and with this in mind was rode to keep him on the bridle for as long as possible. He said his mount travelled well down the hill, but emptied on jumping the last.
170F Crown Bar H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Theatre Run, trained by M.A.Cahill, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards requested a report from J. Morrison, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Arch Melody, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Darren Pratt, authorised representative for the trainer, reported that his charge had disappointed on its previous run when racing too prominently. He felt a combination of a change in tactics today and running in a handicap for the first time, may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
