The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.J. Orr replaced K.J. Brouder on My Lovely Boy (GB), trained by Thomas P.O'Connor (Race 3)(injured)

201A Liam Leacy Plumbing & Heating M'dn H'dle

The Stewards granted permission for this race to be started by flag.

201B Monart Destination Spa H'cap H'dle

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Crimson Chief, trained by J. Morrison, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Killinkere, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.

201C Flood Ironworks Ltd. H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed J.R. Barry, trainer of Naughty Molly, for failing to fit blinkers to his charge before leaving the parade ring and on the way to the start. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.R. Barry was in breach of Rule 194, in that he failed to fit the declared headgear before entering and leaving the parade ring and on the way to the start. Having considered his previous record the Stewards fined J.R. Barry €65 for failing to fit the declared headgear before entering the parade ring, and using their powers under Rule 14 fined him €100 for allowing his charge to leave the parade ring without the declared headgear, which delayed the start of the race as a result, and reminded him of his responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards interviewed P.J. Cawley, rider of Mister Butler, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that P.J. Cawley was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), in that he used his whip with excessive frequency, and having considered his record in this regard cautioned him on this occasion.

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Sizing Joshua trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount lost action and pulled up.

C.J. Orr, rider of My Lovely Boy (GB) trained by Thomas P.O'Connor, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

201D Ferrybank Opel Beginners S'chase

The Stewards fined Gordon Elliott, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Pistol Shoot, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Pistol Shoot in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

D.N. Russell, rider of Monition trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Licklighter trained by Denis Gerard Hogan was reported to have blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage post race.

201E Opel 192 H'cap S'chase

B.J. Cooper, rider of Shawshank trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.
