The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Michael J. McDonagh, trainer of Kaytana (Declared in error) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.E. Mullins rode Cornhill Lass (reserve) trained by Miss Evanna McCutcheon (Race 6)
Mr. E.P. O'Brien rode Glanaree (FR) (reserve) trained by Aengus King (Race 7)

132A Welcome To Wexford Racecourse M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dorans Boy, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.P. Kelly, rider of Doitmonday trained by James Andrew Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

Seamus Fahey, trainer of Vintage Writer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst a blood vessel and pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vintage Writer, trained by Seamus Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nostrils post race.

132B BoyleSports (Mares) H'cap H'dle

G.P. Brouder, rider of Uppertown Mya trained by Mary Ellen Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left during this race.

132C1 Calor Gas H'cap H'dle

S. Fitzgerald, rider of Lilian Bland trained by Niall Patrick Hennessy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently right and furthermore jumped right over the first three hurdles.

The Stewards requested a report from S.Braddish, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Good Bye Milan, placed first, as compared with its recent form. S. Braddish reported that his charge had disappointed at Limerick when pulled up and it was at a time when his horses appeared to be under a cloud. Having sought Veterinary assistance, he was advised to rest them for a short period and he ran this animal a fortnight later at Kilbeggan as it was felt that the horses were well in themselves but this animal disappointed. He added that today's victory was completely unexpected but signals the well being of his charges again. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Final Endeavour, trained by H.Rogers, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

132D Support The Irish Injured Jockeys H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Whatsnotoknow, trained by M.F.Morris, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be have lost a right fore shoe but was otherwise post race normal.

132E Country Fest Wexford August 7 H'cap Hdle

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the final hurdle involving Brogine, ridden by J.J. Slevin and Yenillik, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, where it appeared that Yenillik edged over onto Brogine and made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, J.J. Slevin stated that he rode wide because of the watered ground and jumped the second last flight at the fourth panel before maintaining a straight line to the final hurdle which had one less panel. K.M. Donoghue stated that he rode wider at the second last hurdle to jump the fifth panel and on the approach to the final hurdle he found his mount was heading for the outside panel as a result of a lesser width of hurdle. His mount was green and looking at the wing, so he checked him to keep him straight but he overreacted and edged left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations and they took no further action.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Top Basanta trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Top Basanta, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nostrils post race.
