The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. D.L. Queally rode Milfordfourthree (reserve), trained by W.J. O'Doherty (Race 8)

116A Wexford Racecourse (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards considered a request from Michael Hourigan, trainer of Icee M B A,(declared reserve automatically withdrawn at the close of card), to reinstate his charge after it transpired that Presenting Bonnie, trained by John Patrick Ryan, had not been withdrawn despite being ineligible to run in this race having won at Kilbeggan 2 days ago. Having considered the request, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Presenting Bonnie and using their powers under Rule 194(ix), they reinstated Icee M B A, as they were satisfied that an administrative error had occurred. Mr. P. Coveney Acting Steward, and Mr. D. Hickey Acting Steward were not present for this enquiry and Mr. Liam Walsh Stipendary Steward acted on their behalf.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Moonlit Wings, trained by Thomas James, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

116B Shamrock Enterprises Ltd Rated H'dle

The Stewards interviewed C.A. Landers, rider of An Fraoch Mor, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C.A. Landers was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 3 racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Clondaw Secret, at the request of trainer, Mrs Denise Foster, and reported the animal to be sore post race.

116C1 Neville Hotels H'cap H'dle

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Outside The Door trained by Padraig Roche, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly.

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Stoughan Cross trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Stewards interviewed N. Terrassin, rider of Whatucallher, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of Mr. Patrick Harty. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that N. Terrassin was in breach of Regulation 10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record they issued a caution on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Se Mo Laoch, trained by Brian M. McMahon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be have overreached on the left fore and to have lost a shoe, but to be otherwise post race normal.

Mr E. Mahon, rider of Se Mo Laoch trained by Brian M. McMahon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

Shane Fenelon, rider of Ardaghs Choice trained by E.Sheehy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount failed to handle the ground.

116F Good Enuf To Eat Banqueting H'cap Schase

Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for a 2 minute delay to this race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident jumping the second last fence involving Ah Littleluck, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed first and Wrong Direction, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, placed second, where it appeared Wrong Direction suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.F. O'Regan stated that he suffered interference at the second last and felt the incident had not cost him a better finishing position. D.J. O'Keeffe, stated that he raced on the rail for much of the race as his mount has jumped left in the past. He added that he was forced to go wide down the hill having lost his position and his mount jumped left at the second last colliding with the runner up. He concluded by stating that he had made every effort to keep his mount straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.J. O'Keeffe was in breach of Rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Ah Littleluck trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped left over the last two fences.

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Brouder, rider of Super Citizen, where it appeared that the animal was very tired on the approach to the second last fence before falling. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he was riding in fifth position on the approach to the second last and felt he had the momentum to continue, but his mount tired quickly at this point. Having viewed the recording K.J. Brouder accepted that he had misjudged the situation and apologised for his actions. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that K.J. Brouder was in breach of Rule 272 and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Super Citizen (GB), trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
