The amended result now reads:-

First:-  Talkonthestreet,

Second:- Like It Or Not (GB),

Third:- Monturgeon (FR).

The following trainers were fined €200 in each case for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provisions of Rule 194 (v)(vi):- Mr. Gordon Elliott for Lady Roberta (lame) at Clonmel on 7th April and Mr. J.J. Lambe for Silk Hall (UAE) (cast in box) at Leopardstown on 10th April.

Tipperary Meeting, 14th April 2011

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting: the following riders replaced D.M. Grant (unwell):- F.M. Berry rode Hamlet The Dane, trained by Mr. John Joseph Murphy (first race); M.C. Hussey rode Yes Man, trained by Mr. Patrick J. Flynn (third race); B.A. Curtis rode Noble Call, trained by Mr. John Joseph Murphy (fifth race) and C.P. Hoban rode King’s Road (GB), trained by Mr. John Joseph Murphy (sixth race).

062B Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap & The Stewards interviewed R. Dawson, rider of Road to Victory, unplaced, in the presence of his master Mr. Charles O’Brien, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his mount is a lazy horse and needs assistance and that he continued using his whip in the hope the field would come back to him.
Evidence was also heard from Mr. Charles O’Brien, who confirmed the horse as being a lazy type, but accepted his apprentice could have put his whip down earlier.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R. Dawson was in breach of Regulation 10 2 (b) in that he had continued hitting his mount after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having taken his good record in this regard into account, the Stewards severely cautioned him.

Mr. G.M. Lyons, trainer of Celestial Flyer, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge swallowed his tongue in running.

Dundalk Meeting, 15th April 2011

063A Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Maiden & The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving the winner Ishvana, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, and Naseem Sea, ridden by W.J. Supple, placed third.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that, while interference did occur, Ishvana did not improve her ultimate placing as a result of this interference and they therefore made no alteration to the Judge’s placings.
The Stewards were, however, of the opinion that J.A Heffernan had ridden carelessly, and having taken his recent record in this regard into account, they suspended him for one race day (29th April).
Mr. R. Dore, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.

063B Hen & Stag Packages At Dundalk Stadium Handicap & The Stewards enquired into an incident at the start where it appeared a stalls handler flicked his lead rope against the legs of Crowned Supreme as the stalls opened.
Evidence was heard from Mr. John Jeffers, Stalls Supervisor, Mr. John Wickstead, Stalls Handler, Mr. J.R. Banahan, Turf Club Starter, and C.D. Hayes, rider of Crowned Supreme.
In his evidence C.D Hayes stated that his mount half fly leaped from stalls but did not attribute this to the actions of anyone. He said he felt that it was more to do with the fact that it was the horse’s first run of the year and it may be due to rustiness. He also stated that his mount was alert in the stalls and had his ears pricked.
In his evidence Mr. Banahan stated that he was unaware at the time that there was any issue.
In his evidence Mr. Wickstead stated as he led in horse drawn in stall two, he came around in front of the horse drawn in stall one, and noticed the animal was leaning on the side of the stall. He stated that the other Stall Handlers were attempting  to push the horse drawn one off the side of the stall, and he flicked his lead rope against the hind hock of Crowned Supreme, (drawn one), in an attempt to get him off the side of the stall and as he did so the stalls opened simultaneously.
In his evidence Mr. Jeffers stated he was unaware that anything had happened at the start, but did outline situations where it would be preferable to get a horse drawn one  from leaning against the side of the stall to ensure it opened properly.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards referred the matter to the Chief Executive of the Turf Club for further consideration.

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after the start involving Big Bad Lily, ridden by B.A. Curtis, placed fourth, Crowned Supreme, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fifth, and Red Army Blues, ridden by J.P. Murtagh, unplaced, where it appeared that Crowned Supreme suffered interference and had to check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental and as a result of general bunching and they therefore they took no further action.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Crowned Supreme, trained by Mr. P. Hughes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered interference shortly after jumping from the stalls and as a result had to check.

J.P. Murtagh, rider of Red Army Blues, trained by Mr. G.M. Lyons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran too keen.

063D Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Maiden & The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Honest And True, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed third, Town Rebel, ridden by D.M. Grant, placed fifth, and Bramante (GB), ridden by R. Dawson, unplaced, where it appeared some interference took place.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised R. Dawson to ride with more care in future.
Mr. Gerry Abbott, authorised representative of Mr. Charles O’Brien, trainer and master of R. Dawson, attended this enquiry.

063E Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Package Handicap & The Stewards interviewed S.A Gray, rider of Sikara, placed third, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of Mr. Kevin Tuohy, authorised representative of Mr. T. Stack, trainer and master of S.A Gray.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that S.A Gray had used his whip with excessive frequency and therefore cautioned him accordingly.
The Stewards also felt that S.A Gray could be more familiar with the Rules governing  the use of the whip and so they referred him to R.A.C.E. for a one day tuition on the correct use of the whip.

063F [email protected] Handicap & The Stewards enquired into three incidents of possible interference in the home straight. The first incident took place about two furlongs from the finish and involved Hassanali, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed third, Time Travel (GB), ridden by J.P. O’Brien, King of Tara (USA), ridden by S. Foley, Midnight Manhattan (USA), ridden by G.F. Carroll, and Watson’s Fancy (USA), ridden by C. O’Donoghue, all unplaced.
The second incident took place down the rail about one furlong from the finish and involved Five Two (GB), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed second, Sounds of Thunder (GB), ridden by D.P. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Mr. Tom McCourt, trainer, representing J.P. O’Brien.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was as a result of general bunching and they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

D.J. Moran, rider of East Of Tara, trained by Mr. Desmond McDonogh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung throughout.

063G www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap & The Stewards interviewed Mr. Ion Hamilton, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, and Mr. James McAuley, trainer, after Mr. McAuley’s charge Broad Meaning (GB) entered the parade ring with the wrong number cloth.

Mr. Carr expressed his disappointment with the animal’s last run on testing ground at Limerick, but stated that nothing had come to light subsequently to explain the poor run.
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Starrystarrysky, trained by Mr. Colin Kidd, had badly grazed hind cannons, but was otherwise found to be post race normal.

064D Oysters Point Handicap Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed Mr. T.V. O’Connell, Turf Club Clerk Of The Course, concerning the removal of the wings on the second last hurdle during this race.
Evidence was heard from Mr. O’ Connell, who stated that the fence marshals had removed the wings from the hurdle in error as they thought the race had finished.
He also accepted that he had failed to brief them individually prior to racing.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards reminded Mr. O’Connell of his future responsibilities to liaise with the fence marshals and to put in place procedures to prevent a re-occurrence.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who admitted that he had failed to give his mount a chance to respond and added that he did not consider that he was at a full level of fitness.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that M.A. Carr was in breach of Regulation 10 (3), in that he failed to give his mount a chance to respond. The Stewards therefore suspended him for one race day (30th April) and referred him to R.A.C.E for a one day tuition on the correct use of the whip. The Stewards also advised the rider to attain a better level of fitness.
Mr. Gerard Flynn, Authorised Representative for Mr. J.S. Bolger, Master of the Apprentice, also attended this enquiry.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who admitted that he had failed to give his mount a chance to respond and had used his whip excessively. He added that he thought that he might ride his first winner and got carried away in the latter stages.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.A. Parkes was in breach of Regulation 10 (3), in that he failed to give his mount a chance to respond, and Regulation 10 (2) (f).
