The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D. Meyler replaced C.A. Landers on Windsor Diamond, trained by James M. Barcoe (Race 1)(stood down)
R.P. Treacy replaced C.A. Landers on Daisy's Hollow, trained by James M. Barcoe (Race 4)(stood down)
D.E. Mullins rode Hauturiere (FR) (reserve) trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 1)
B.J. Cooper rode Mi Lighthouse (reserve) trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 3)
Ms. O. Queally rode Costanuci, trained by John Queally (Race 7)(see enquiry)

361C Buy New Years Day Tickets (M) M'dn H'dle

B. Hayes, rider of Agritime trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the last with a circuit to race.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Derrylinda trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a few mistakes and was pulled up.

Shane Fenelon, rider of Rose Mahler trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

P.T. Enright, rider of Angels Dawn trained by S. Curling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last.

S. Fitzgerald, rider of Our Miss Power trained by Eoghan O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Agritime, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have grazed both hind fetlocks and was lame post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Derrylinda, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

361D John & Peter Queally Award H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D.L. Queally, rider of Lovely Moon, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that D.L. Queally was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.

361E Doneraile Walk Beginners S'chase

The Stewards fined Eugene M. O'Sullivan, trainer €65 for failing to fit check pieces to Earths Furies which had been declared prior to entering the parade ring.

Rachael Blackmore, rider of An Taibhse trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stopped quickly.

361F Lady’s Cove H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed P.K. Donovan, rider of Lacken Bridge, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his mount was a difficult ride, but apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that P.K. Donovan as in breach of Regulation 10.3(b)(unnecessary use after chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended P.K. Donovan for two racedays.

361G Garrarus Beach (Ladies PA) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed John Queally, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Costanuci. Evidence was heard from the trainer and from Ms. Orla Queally, the intended rider. Mr. Queally, stated that it was always his intention to have his daughter Ms. O. Qeally ride his charge. He stated that an issue arouse with the riders licence which could not be rectified before the close of declarations. Ms. O. Queally informed the Stewards that she had held a licence for some time, but unknowingly let it lapse and was unable to correct this on time, but the situation had since been rectified. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the nomination of Ms. O. Queally and cautioned her concerning her future responsibilities in this regard.
