Mr. A.P. Ryan replaced M.M. McDonagh on Boherlug, trained by Michael J. McDonagh (Race 4)(unwell).
B. Hayes replaced D.J. McInerney on An Marcach, trained by D. Donovan (Race 7)(unwell)
G.B. Noonan replaced M.M. McDonagh on Highest Benefit, trained by W.J.Austin (Race 7)(unwell)

002A David Flynn Construction M'dn H'dle

Shane Fenlon, rider of Willie Bob trained by Michael P. Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up.

002B Keith Casey Memorial H'cap H'dle

Niall Moore, rider of Fairy Orchard trained by John M.Burke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost action prior to pulling up.

H. Morgan, rider of Gargouille (FR) trained by Diarmuid P. Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. Subsequently this was confirmed by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer.

The Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. D. Cullen, that G.B. Noonan, rider of Beechmount Maisie failed to comply with his instructions. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted he had jumped off while the starters flag was still raised. Having viewed the recording of the start which included the recording of the starters audio, and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that G.B. Noonan was in breach of Rule 208 and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.

002C Velvet Cap Whiskey M'dn H'dle

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Haveuseentherain trained by S.G.Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and subsequently pulled up.

002D Tramore Medical Clinic H'cap H'dle

E. Walsh, rider of Helios D'aubrelle (FR) trained by Thomas Cooper, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

The Stewards interviewed M.J. Molloy, rider of Missiee, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted he was in breach of the Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that M.J. Molloy was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards fined John Joseph Hanlon, trainer €65 for failing to fit a tongue strap Abbeyfeale which had been declared.

002E Savills New Year's Day S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Acapella Bourgeois (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

002G Tom Carroll Memorial H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed L. Quinlan, rider of Bitview Colin, concerning his use of the whip in the final circuit of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that L. Quinlan was in breach of R10.3(g) frequency and having considered his record they suspended him for 7 racedays.
