The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider of Hazakiyra, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found C. P. Hoban in breach of Regulation 10.3 (G) and suspended him for two race days.

227E Strand Inn Dunmore H'cap

The Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of Hit The Rocks, trained by Edmond Kent, placed, first compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he was very disappointed with his charges previous run where he had jumped prominently, ran keen when taken on by a competitor and was eased when beaten. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation.
