The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Ballybrowney Jack (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien was found to have blood on both nostrils possible as a result of a fall.
223C Victoria House M'dn H'dleD.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Hapydaze trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran too free.
223D Flynn Hotels H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined St Lawrence Gap, trained by Eoin Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. W. Fleming, that D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of St Lawrence Gap, had failed to weigh in having finished seventh. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case and apologised for the error. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards disqualified St Lawrence Gap from seventh place under the provisions of Rule 230(ii) and severely cautioned D.J. O'Keeffe concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.
The Stewards fined Michael G. Kennedy, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared head gear in full to Touch Of Gold, prior to entering the parade ring.
223E Christy O'Connor Mem. Rated Novice H'dleThe Stewards interviewed T. Ryan, rider of Al Sakb (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that T. Ryan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.
The Stewards interviewed D.G. Hogan, rider of Generator City, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the D.G. Hogan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and Regulation 10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record they suspended for 4 racedays.
223F O'Neills Bar H'cap H'dleOwing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdle number 4 to be omitted from this race.
223G Sands Hotel Tramore (Ladies) M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Listen Dear, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
