The Stewards enquired into an incident in the early stages of this race involving Kurpany (FR), ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, Principalship (GB), ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed second and Hot Dakota, ridden by C.P. Hoban, unplaced, where it appeared Principalship (GB) manoeuvered left causing interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Mr. K. Whelan, who accompanied B.M. Coen. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

The Stewards received a report from Miss Colleen Murphy, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that S. Foley, rider of Dragon Ryker (GB), had weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S. Foley was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards requested a report from W. McCreery, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sweetest Taboo, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge appeared to appreciate the first time application of a visor and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Sunset Nova trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Yenillik, trained by W. McCreery, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a graze on the right hind pastern, but was otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

W.J. Lee, rider of Yenillik trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount came under pressure five furlongs out and dropped away.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tyriana, trained by Patrick J. Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Arizona Boy trained by James M. Barrett was found to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lustful (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Steelyeyed trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped right leaving the stalls.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Drumquina trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room and caught a heel after half a furlong.
