134A Tipperary Races Claiming Race

Michael Beresford, rider of Shifted Strategy trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Stewards enquired into incidents inside the final one and a half furlongs involving Affable (GB), ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, Dande, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed fifth, Ecoeye (GB), ridden by P.A. Harnett, unplaced and Tar Heel, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed sixth, where it appeared that Affable (GB) and Ecoeye (GB) both were short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In evidence, S. Foley stated that he had room but his mount was backing out of the race when the gap closed. G.M. Ryan stated that his mount was caught for toe and stayed on straight to the line. P.A. Harnett stated that his mount leaned right on the quicker ground in the straight despite he trying to keep him close to the rail and changed legs about one furlong out which did not help his cause. M.P. Sheehy stated that his mount was intimidated by the winner Spanish Tenor arriving on his outside and he put his whip away when hearing a shout from P.A. Harnett. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. M.P. Sheehy was accompanied at this enquiry by Kevin O'Ryan.

134B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med Auction Mdn

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Maid Of Eirinn trained by P.J.Hassett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away and ran green.

The Stewards reviewed an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Burj Malinka, ridden by M.A. Gallagher, placed fifth, Rave N Contagion, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced and Stag Night, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed fourth, where it appeared that Burj Malinka and Rave N Contagion were going for the same gap. Having reviewed the recording and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

B.M. Coen, rider of No Not Really (GB) trained by M.J. Tynan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away and ran green.

134E TipperaryRacecourse.ie H'cap

A.J. Slattery, rider of Ola Bonita trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Irish Acclaim trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

At the request of the Stewards, S. Foley, rider of Sounds Of Spring, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced all the way.

134F1 Visit Tipperary H'cap

Melanie Horsman, rider of Rock Chica trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her saddle slipped in the early part of this race.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Take A Turn trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got checked in the straight on the first circuit.

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the early part of this race involving Rock Chica, ridden by Melanie Horsman, unplaced, Take A Turn, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed second and Eastern Tornado, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth. Having reviewed the recording and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by the saddle slipping on Rock Chica and took no further action.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Thekeyisnottopanic trained by C.W.J. Farrell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right turning into the straight.

134F2 Visit Tipperary H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Oh So Chic (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Oh So Chic (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have an overreach on her off foreleg.

The Stewards interviewed Melanie Horsman, rider of Lizzies Song, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In her evidence Melanie Horsman accepted that she was in breach of the whip guidelines but explained that she heard challengers and was trying to achieve prize money for her mount. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Melanie Horsman was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Melanie Horsman on this occasion.

134G Thank You To The Frontline Workers M'dn

At the request of the Stewards, M.A. Enright, rider of Petrol Head, trained by David Peter Dunne, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was never on the bridle and was flat out the whole way.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Father's Day trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran around under pressure.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Shinpachi trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference when the two leaders drifted in front of him.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Tashi, ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed first, Father's Day, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed second and Shinpachi, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed third, where it appeared that Father's Day drifted sharply to the right when fighting out the finish. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence C.D. Hayes stated that his mount was green and having his third run when interference took place in front of him and he had to check. R.C. Colgan stated that he wanted to arrive late when Father's Day came out and made contact with his own mount. J.A. Heffernan stated that his mount jinked and went outwards towards the horse gate for which he quickly changed his whip hand to straighten him up. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. Mr E. Irwin, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.

The Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Father's Day, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, J.A. Heffernan accepted that he was in breach of the whip guidelines and explained that he was trying to stop his mount rolling out and was doing his best to straighten him. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards pursuant to R10(6)(b) referred J.A. Heffernan to the Referrals Committee for consideration. Mr E. Irwin, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.

Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Pappina, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge was found to be in season post race
