Due to operational reasons, the Stewards gave permission for this race to be started by flag.

W.J. Lee, rider of Alfalfa trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room after one hundred yards resulting in him clipping heels.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Bolero trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was checked before turing into the straight.

H.Rogers, trainer of Bolero, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge pulled a front shoe.

The Stewards reviewed an incident about three and a half furlongs from the finish involving Isaiah, ridden by G.F. Carroll, Bolero, ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, and Stabila, ridden by James J. Doyle where it appeared that both Stabila and Bolero were short of room and checked. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

304E Killinan H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Onameridance trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout this race.

J.A. Powell, rider of Mr Trinket trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left during this race.

B.M. Coen, rider of Zuhra trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered at the road crossing.

L.F. Roche, rider of Musical Rhapsody trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with severe interference early in the straight.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Enthrallment, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Dark Vega, ridden by S. Foley, Forever And Always, ridden by W.M. Lordan, Zuhra, ridden by B.M. Coen, and Musical Rhapsody, ridden by L.F. Roche where it appeared that there was a concertina effect of movement from Dark Vega on the outside to Forever And Always on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, L.F. Roche stated that his mount was unable to hold her position and got interference from both sides. B.M. Coen stated that he moved out to take a gap but it got tight at that point and he had to take back out of it. W.M. Lordan stated that his mount received a bump from his outside which had no effect on its final placing. S. Foley stated that his mount received pressure to her hind quarters which caused her body to manoeuvre inwards but this move was over exaggerated. C.D. Hayes stated that he was ahead of the interference and did not contribute to the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action.

The Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Raving Royal, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Galway on the 6th September when finishing tenth of sixteen runners to the winner Sidiriya. Peter Delmer, Authorised representative for W.P. Mullins, reported that their charge ran too keen the last day at Galway. Having considered the explanation, the Stewards noted the content of the report.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Mountain Fox trained by F.Oakes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Three Comets (GER) trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled in the early part of this race and leaned right in the straight.

The Stewards requested a report from Luke Comer, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Three Comets (GER), placed first, as compared with its recent run at Down Royal on the 2nd September when finishing thirteenth of fifteen runners to the winner Sheishybrid. James T. Gorman, Authorised representative for Luke Comer, reported that their charge did not get the run of the race at Down Royal whereas today, under instruction, the animal raced wide and delivered his challenge from a wide position which ensured a clear run. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the content of the report.
