Cooper admitted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that B.J. Cooper was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended B.J. Cooper for three racedays.

The Stewards interviewed D.N. Russell, rider of Humble Glory, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence D.N. Russell stated that his mount kept responding to his urgings but idled when left alone. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that D.N. The Stewards enquired into possible interference between the final hurdle and the winning post involving Nell's Well, ridden by M.M. McDonagh, placed second and Priory Park, ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed first, where it appeared that the Priory Park initially bumped Nell's Well and at a later stage Nell's Well made contact with Priory Park when edging to the right. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence M.M. McDonagh stated that his mount had received a bump on landing over the last hurdle and may have moved right a little on the run in. M.P. Walsh stated that his mount was hanging left and had swished his tail on the approach to the final hurdle, stumbled on landing and bumped Nell's Well but ran straight to the line when corrected after the jumping error. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while Priory Park had caused interference to Nell's Well in the first incident with Nell's Well causing some interference in the latter incident, Priory Park did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kilkenny Star, trained by C.A.Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal was struck into on her left fore fetlock and also her right fore pastern.

C.A. Landers, rider of Delias Pet, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped poorly during this race.

The Stewards received a report from the I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer, that Jinxs Link, trained by M.M. Rice, could not be positively identified owing to a failure to locate the microchip number. Having considered the report, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Jinxs Link under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii). Furthermore, the Stewards referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(iv).

The Stewards interviewed Mr D.M. Fitzgerald, rider of Denver City, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr D.M. Fitzgerald stated that the filly was ungenuine and he was trying to keep her going. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. D.M. Fitzgerald was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(i) by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr D.M. Fitzgerald for five racedays and ordered him to attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip.
