The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pont Aval (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
P. Townend, rider of Pont Aval (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.
057B Pierce Molony Memorial Novice S'chaseM.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of Il Courra, trained by C.W.J. Farrell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
057C Jimmy Neville Memorial H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Truckers Angel, trained by Terence O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
G. Brouder, rider of Capture The Drama, trained by Aengus King, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went wrong behind and was pulled up thereafter. The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer subsequently reported to the Raceday Stewards that Capture The Drama was lame behind post race.
057D Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dleAt the request of the Raceday Stewards, P. Byrnes, rider of Workforadime, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was flat out early on, made some jumping errors and stayed on onepaced in the closing stages. .
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Workforadime, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident passing the stands on the approach to the bend involving Battle Of Ridgeway, ridden by A.P. Kelly, unplaced, and Miss Madeline, ridden by P.K. Donovan, placed sixth, where it appeared that Battle Of Ridgeway momentarily ran short of room on the railing. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.P. Kelly, stated that he got tight for room on the railing, but when he shouted for room the horse on his outside made room for him. P.K. Donovan, stated that the field moved in towards the railing causing him to lean on Mr. Kelly, but he moved off him as soon as possible. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and therefore and took no further action.
Liam P Cusack, trainer of Georgiabell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was showing signs of being in season.
057F Leugh H'cap H'dleC.P. McNamara, rider of Owl Creek Bridge, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went wrong behind and was pulled up.
Eric Larkin, trainer of Lizrona, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge lost a shoe in running.
057G www.thurlesraces.ie (P-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Factual Fact (FR), ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed first, and Master Otis, ridden by Mr C. Mullins, placed second, where it appeared that Master Otis received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. C. Mullins, stated that his mount received contact from his outside. Mr. J.L. Gleeson, stated that his mount ran green throughout and caused minor interference which he felt he corrected as soon as possible. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J.L. Gleeson was in breach of Rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended them for 2 racedays.
