223A Rockshore Lager Claiming Race

At the request of the Stewards, R.P. Whelan, rider of Bringsty (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got no run in this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bringsty (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards reviewed an incident after leaving the back straight involving Jaafel, ridden by D. King, and Aleksey Tolstoy, ridden by G.F. Carroll where it appeared that Jaafel was holding his racing line when receiving contact from Aleksey Tolstoy on his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

223D Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

At the request of the Stewards, C. Horgan, rider of Lazer Port, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced early on, was very green on the turn into the straight and hung both left and right.

223E Guinness Nursery H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Ooh La Belle trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Camilla Gherardini trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got bumped on leaving the starting stalls.

The Stewards requested a report from J.A.Stack, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of In The Giving, placed first, as compared with its recent runs at the Curragh and Fairyhouse. Sean Hennessy, Authorised representative of J.A. Stack, reported that their charge was allowed to dictate the pace today and appreciated the ease in the underfoot conditions, which in his opinion were contributing factors to the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

223F Carlsberg H'cap

At the request of the Stewards, W.J. Lee, rider of Pilbara Gold, trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was drawn wide and was always chasing the race before he eased her down when her chance was gone.

223G Rockshore Cider H'cap

Following a request from the Clerk of the Course, Ms. T. O'Meara, the Stewards granted permission for the distance of this race to be extended by 30 yards owing to the course alignment.

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the bend soon after the start involving Beer With The Boys (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, and She's Good Company, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond where it appeared that She's Good Company checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence C.J. MacRedmond stated that his mount has a high head carriage and changed her legs at the point where Beer With The Boys was moving towards the running rail. He added that he did not check his mount as he had no reason to do so. D. McMonagle stated that he had left room on his inner when racing to the bend and when nobody took that ground, he moved inwards when, in his opinion, he was clear of She's Good Company. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that D. McMonagle was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday. Furthermore, the Stewards advised C.J. MacRedmond concerning the accuracy of his evidence.

J. Coen, rider of Gracesolution trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle today's going.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of She's Good Company trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
