The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

William P Murphy, trainer of Crutches Lad (Mislaid Passport) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.M. Moore replaced S.F. O'Keeffe on Madaboy Cross, trained by Thomas P.O'Connor (Race 7)(Injury)
R.A. Doyle replaced J.P. O'Sullivan on Shanklys Dawn, trained by P.J. Rothwell (Race 7)(Unwell).

269B Leo McMorrow Memorial Novice Hcap Schase

The Stewards requested a report from Robert Tyner, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Dontdooddson (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The Trainer's Authorised Representative, Mary Tyner, reported that this horse had disappointed last time after some jumping errors but had come back to the yard in better form after his summer break. Having considered the report the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

269C Frank O'Beirne H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed M.P. Walsh, rider of Thecraicisninety (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account cautioned him.

269D Brenda Anderson Memorial Beg S'chase

The Stewards interviewed D. Meyler, rider of First Class Return, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 1 race day.

P.J. Cawley, rider of Boston Spray trained by D.J.Barry, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

269G Start To A Successful Year H'cap S'chase

The Stewards requested a report from Anthony Mullins, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Doran The Legend, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The Trainer reported that the extended trip today, the better ground and the low grade nature of the race probably suited his charge today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
