The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer of Estepona Sun (GB) (Off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.A. Powell replaced B.P. Kennedy on He Knows No Danger, trained by Luke Comer (Race 1)(Rider administration error)

156A Strandhill Caravan Park Claiming Race

W.J. Lee, rider of Affable (GB) trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right past the stands and down the back straight.

156D1 Rosses Point Caravan Park H'cap

James J. Doyle, rider of Socratic trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the break.

D. McMonagle, rider of Indiana Rose trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.

J.A. Powell, rider of Manhattan Dandy trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the break.

The Stewards requested a report from Joseph G. Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Kodiqueen, placed first, as compared with its previous two runs at Fairyhouse on the 28th May and Listowel on the 5th June. Joseph M. Murphy, Authorised representative of Joseph G. Murphy reported that their charge was a previous course and distance winner and furthermore the reapplication of a tongue tie were contributing factors to this success. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

156D2 Rosses Point Caravan Park H'cap

The Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Fit For Function (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, G.F. Carroll stated that he was in a tight finish but accepted that he had breached the guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.F. Carroll was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended G.F. Carroll for three racedays.

The Stewards informed Patrick Martin, trainer, that his charge Pretty Smart could be liable to a suspension if she repeated her unruly behaviour prior to the start of any future race.

156E1 Durkin Bros Electrical H'cap

M. Flannery, trainer of Dancing Doll, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge was found to be in season post race.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

Mr. H. Hynes.

The Stewards received a report from Mr D. Cullen, IHRB Starter, in relation to a problem encountered when he was checking the starting stalls prior to racing. Mr. Cullen informed the Acting Stewards that owing to a mechanical issue the starting stalls would not be in use this evening. He requested permission for all races to start by flag. Ms Tracey O'Meara, IHRB Clerk of the Course stated that she would arrange for the necessary changes to be made to facilitate flag starts. Evidence was also heard from Jason Grogan, H.R.I Stalls Maintainance. Having considered the report and evidence, the Stewards granted permission for all races to be started by flag.
