The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.J. Slevin replaced J.S. McGarvey on Crobally Boy, trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 7)(Injured)

272A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Mares) Beg.Sch

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Raven Rule, trained by W.J. Burke, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have cuts on both hind legs.

C.D Smithers, rider of Mighty Meggsie trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount both hung and jumped left during this race.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Raven Rule trained by W.J. Burke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second fence.

272B Leo McMorrow Memorial Novice Hcap Schase

The Stewards fined Paul W. Flynn, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared cheek pieces to Golden Sandbanks (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.

272C Frank O'Beirne H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Dara Man, trained by John Patrick Ryan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B.J. Cooper, rider of The Dara Man trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made two bad mistakes and was pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Benefit Run, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

L.P. Dempsey, rider of Benefit Run trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

272D Brenda Anderson Memorial Beg S'chase

At the request of the Stewards, K.C. Sexton, rider of Quaker Island, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not travel or jump fluently during this race.

N.T. Prendergast, rider of Doyen's Diva trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame during this race.

272E Owenmore H'cap S'chase

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Magic Piper trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Magic Piper, trained by Thomas Gibney, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nostrils post race.

The Stewards requested a report from Philip Fenton, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Secret Cargo, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Kilbeggan on the eighth of August when finishing eighth of nine finishers. Cathal Persse, Authorised representative of Philip Fenton, reported that the first time application of blinkers, the drop in class of the race and the falls of three form horses were contributing factors to the improved performance. Having considered the explanation, the Stewards noted the content of the report.

272F Templehouse Lake S'chase

P.K. Donovan, rider of Ferdia trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped during this race.

272G Riverstown H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Not So Simple, trained by Norman Lee, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Kieran Callaghan, rider of Rudy Catrail trained by E.Sheehy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up.

The Stewards requested a report from Robert Tyner, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Dangan Des Champs, placed first, as compared with its only previous run over fences when pulled up. Mary Tyner, Authorised representative of Robert Tyner, reported that the longer trip and the lesser standard of race were contributing factors to the improved performance. Having considered the explanation the Stewards noted the content of the report.
