The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Zenta (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
G. Brouder, rider of Zenta (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
157B George And Joan McCourt Mem. Beg. S'chThe IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Chiefs Kingdom, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its right fore post race.
G. Brouder, rider of Chiefs Kingdom, trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount landed awkwardly after the second fence and thought it took a lame stride and therefore pulled up immediately. He added that on pulling up his mount felt sound.
157D Castlerea Novice S'chasePrior to the first race, the official going was changed to Good, Good to Yielding in places.
157E Tote Connacht National H'cap S'chaseG. Brouder, rider of Arrycan, trained by Liam P. Cusack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very freely.
157F Strokestown H'cap S'chaseThe IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Aliunde, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages after jumping the last fence involving Inthenickoftime, ridden by K.C. Sexton, placed second, and Charlies Pride, ridden by L. Quinlan, placed first, where it appeared Inthenickoftime switched to the stand side of Charlies Pride. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.C. Sexton stated that the winner had crossed him after jumping the last before reaching the rail causing him to switch. L. Quinlan stated that he jumped the last straight and maintained his racing line until reaching the rail before going on to win without causing any interference to the runner up. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Charlies Pride had maintained its racing line without causing interference and therefore took no further action.
K.C. Sexton, rider of Inthenickoftime, trained by E. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference after the last fence.
157G Racing Again July 1st (QR) H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after jumping the fourth last involving West Clare, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, Smitty Bacall, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, and Ardfert Mary, ridden by Mr J.M. Halford, where it appeared that Smitty Bacall got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr D. O'Connor stated that his mount may have moved slightly left, but felt he had not contributed to the incident. Mr J.L. Gleeson stated that he got tight for room between two horses but was not travelling well at the time. Mr J.M. Halford stated that his mount may have moved to his right slightly but he kept a firm hold of its head. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
Mr S. Connor, rider of Great Rainbow (FR), trained by Brian M. McMahon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
