The Raceday Stewards received a request from Eoin Griffin, trainer of Hidalgo Des Mottes (FR), to substitute the nominated rider G. Brouder, with R.A. Doyle, due to G. Brouder being stood down yesterday. Eoin Griffen stated that he wanted someone who is famiiar with his charge and R.A. Doyle has ridden the animal on numerous occasions. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the rider substitution on this occasion.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the approach to the final hurdle involving Hidalgo Des Mottes (FR), ridden by R. Doyle, placed fourth, and More Info, ridden by D. King, placed third, where it appeared Hidalgo Des Mottes ducked left hampering More Info. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
221D J.F. Hanley Groundscare Beginners SchaseK.M. Donoghue, rider of Garrybello (FR), trained by Thomas Cooper, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the fourth last.
S. O'Callaghan, rider of Reverse Polarity, trained by Ms Helen P.Markham, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was flat out in the middle part of the race but finished well.
Thomas Cooper, trainer of Garrybello (FR), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge pulled a front shoe and also burst a blood vessel after making a mistake at the 4th last.

221F Patrick Hennigan Memorial H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards interviewed S. Fenlon, rider of Rudy Catrail, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S. Fenlon was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 4 racedays.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tech Talk, trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
221G Brian Keenan On-Course INH Flat RaceMr D. O'Connor, rider of Pinky, trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped forward early on but came back into place in the latter stages.
