The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of San Martino (Off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.M. Sheridan rode Kappa Kayleigh (reserve) , trained by D. Donovan (Race 7)

227A Irish EBF Median Sires Series Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident over one furlong from the finish involving Vafortino, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed first and Los Andes (USA), ridden by S. Foley, placed third, where it appeared that Vafortino caused interference in manoeuvering his way out to deliver a challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned with M.P. Sheehy giving his evidence in the presence of Brendan Powell, Authorised representative for Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Vafortino. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that M.P. Sheehy had ridden carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended M.P. Sheehy for 1 raceday.

227B Irish EBF Supp Champions Weekend (F) Mdn

The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Lady Anner, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S. Foley was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.

227E roscommonracecourse.ie Apprentice M'dn

G.M. Ryan, rider of Big Island trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran off the first bend.

The Stewards requested a report from M.Halford, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Alatar, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge was drawn wide on its previous run and appeared to struggle on both the ground and track. He felt the animal appeared to appreciate todays track, more favourable ground and also benefited from the application of a tongue tie. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

Cillian McConnell, rider of Rizannon trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' secretaries that he got unbalanced and lost an iron before the winning post on the first circuit when his mount jinked from the rail and later on in the home straight his mount hung left.

D. McMonagle, rider of Firstman (FR) trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount found nothing in the straight.

C.T. Keane, rider of Canford Light, trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung throughout this race.

The Stewards enquired into two incidents in the closing stages, the first involving Custers Mistake, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced and Canford Light, ridden by CF.T. Keane, unplaced, where it appeared both animals collided and the second incident involving Grey Serge (GB), ridden by R. Coakley, placed sixth, Dame Rapide, ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, placed fifth and Custers Mistake, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, where it appeared interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused was accidental in nature and therefore took no further action.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Pure Nature (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room when turning down into the back straight.
